Clothing in fire
Fire destroyed or damaged a quantity of clothing at Taylors Sanitone Dry-clean-ers in Cathedral Square just i after 9 a.m. yesterday. Firemen put out the tire I before it could cause any a serious structural damage. » but the smoke and water ■■ made “quite a mess,” said a | spokesman for the firm. I “Quite a volume of clo-.n--1 ing was destroyed, but for- ' tunately a lot of work was ewav to be processed. The owners of that clothing will have it back safe and sound for the week-end,” the i 'spokesman said. A big clean-up began after the fire, and the spokesman said it was hoped to open a counter in the shop this morning for customers to j intake inquiries and claim plothing.
