Impressive trial by Pia Roona
Special Correspondent _ Wellington The Crampton stablemates, Pia Roona and Rayarak, failed at Trenthau last Saturday but both could produce much better . efforts when they line up for the second day of the spring meeting tomorrow. Pia Roona was fifth in the Wellesley and Rayarak eighth in the Shorts Handicap. Yesterday both were impressive in training, none more so than Pia Roona when he trounced his firstday conqueror Bisette. Most gallops took place on the outside of the course proper. The going was easy. . Pia Roona and Bisette galloped down the chute and in the run to the line Fla Roona drew out to win by six lengths. He galloped in fine style and looked to be a much better horse on the firmer track. The 800 m took 47.25. Bisette was not that happy
