Novel end to match

NZPA-Reuter Buenos Aires

The Fiji fly-half, Senigakali, ended a rugby match in Argentina in a novel way yesterday.

With 15 minutes of the tourists’ game against Tucuman province remaining, and Fiji leading 24-9, Senigakali unleashed a prodigious kick which sent the ball clean out of the stadium.

A 10-minute search failed to uncover the missing ball, and the referee, Mr Felipe Ferrari, reluctantly blew the final whistle to end the match.

The Fijians arrived, last Wednesday for. a sevenmatch tour including two internationals against the Argentinian Pumas. They beat Argentina B, 23-19 last Saturday.
