Warning for surveyors
PA Wellington Private-sector surveyors, must expand their range of services if their profes- . sion is to remain in business, according to the
Minister of Lands (Mr V. S. Young). This was one of the main points made; in a Link Consultants report on the profession commissioned by the Government, Mr Young told the Institute of Surveyors’ annual conference. Surveyors had .to enter i other areas of work and , lessen the reliance upon \

He said he was studying the\ report’s conclusions ; and recommendations and -would discuss them with the Surveyor-General and the institute. ■ Mr Young announced that he had approved recommendations from the Survey Board for an increase in surveyors’ fees from November 1.
