Jackpot not struck

PA Wellington The Wellington Racing Club’s jackpot was not struck on Saturday. A pool of just $6OOO will carry over the second day of the spring meeting, on Saturday. If it is still intact, it will terminate on the final day, Monday, October 27. There was still one jackpot entry live for the fourth selected race, the Wellington Guineas, but the selection of proud Avon was second. . A picks competition* to win “a car of your choice to the value of $20,000,” attracted just over 2000 entries, but there were no live

entries after the third event.. This competition, in which six winners have to be selected, is to run throughout the season at Trentham until won.
