Professor Daniel F. Far- ’ kas, a leading American I nutritionist and food scien- ] tist, who will visit New j Zealand next month to at- | tend a, symposium on food processing. The four-day symposium, organised by the New Zealand Institute .of Food Science and Technology, ‘ will be held in Auckland in conjunction with Foodtech 80, a trade fair for suppliers to the food industry. The symposium will begin on November 10. Professor Farkas, who is cha.irman of the department of food science and human nutrition at Delaware University, will deliver one of the keynote addresses at the symposium. His fortnight’s visit to New Zealand is being sponsored by an Auckland-based engineering group, Niven Processing Engineering (N.Z.), Ltd.
