China threat to Asia?
NZPA-AFP South-East Asia is threatened more.by China than the Soviet Union in the long term, according to the Filipi..o Opposition leader, Mr Benigno Aquino, in an interview published in the 'independent “Daily Nation Review” in Bangkok. . China’s future policy was a “very, very iffy question,” he said.
■ “At the moment China is an acceptable smiling' neighbour,’’ he said. “Then in the next five to 10 years it may change again and when that giant starts to move .. <it affects all of our people.”
