Chch man wins Aust. road race
NZPA Sydney Yesterday’s annual 50-mile road race between the Sydney and Wollongong town halls was won by a New Zealander, 32-year-old Wayne Rouse, from Christchurch.
Rouse won in a time of Ear 53min, ahead of J.nyce Mellrm and Bob Telfer. The oldest competitor in the field of 50 was a 62-year-old man from Sydney, Frank Pearson.
