: PA Wellington ; New Zealanders will be ' able to view’ the final stages of the American .Presidential election on November 5 via a one-and-a-half hour live satellite hook-up with C.B.S. Television of the United States. The link with C.B.S.'s coverage, hosted by i Walter Cronkite, will, begim about 6 p.m. on Network One. The result should be known by 7.30 p.m., and Television’ New Zealand will stay with the link if the outcome is not. obvious by this time.

The live coverage will be augmented by New’ Zealand material, including live studio discussions fronted by lan Fraser.

The normal 6.30 p.m. news will be included in the 6 to 7.30 p.m. package, but will probably be briefer than usual. ;
