Test for Yir Tiz
NZPA Melbourne In the $75,000 Thousand Guineas (1600 m at Caulfield today, the brilliant New Zealand filly, Yir Tiz, will take on the best Australia can offer. Fiancee, which scored from Dark Eclipse and Aare at Randwick last week, heads favouritism at 4-to-l with Dark Eclipse, while Yir Tiz is equal second favourite at 6-to-l with Aare. Yir Tiz (Bismark II — Dreamy Jeannie) is now trained by Paul Sutherland at Rosehill in Sydney after being sold in New Zealand for a reported $400,000. The New Zealand mares, Miss Judena and Delma Jay, are among top picks for the 1984 m Way Welter, even though they have not been placed at their last starts.
