NZPA Adelaide New Zealand’s Bruce Brownlee, together with the other top seeds, advanced to the second round of the $50,000 World Open Squash Championship after easily ’ winning his first match on Saturday. Brownlee, the seventh seed for the tournament, de- i feated his Queensland opponent, T. Cheetham, 9-1, 7-9, 9-6. 9-2. Brian Barrett, of New Zealand, found himself no match for England’s Jonah Barrington, going down 5-9, 6-9, 5-9, while P. Mounsey, of Victoria, beat Paul Viggers, 5-9, 9-0, 9-6, 9-0. None of the top seeds were troubled advancing into round two of the championship. Jehangir, being tipped as ■ the most likely replacement to Hunt at the top of the squash world, thrashed his South Australian opponent Richard Massev, 9-1, 9-1, 9-1.
