No mourners for Iranian gunmen
NZPA-Reuter London Five gunmen shot dead when British troops stormed the besieged Iranian Embassy in May have been buried in London. . The five were interred in a single grave in a simple ceremony paid for by the east London mosque. No-one had claimed the bodies. Photographers and reporters were at the graveside
but there were no mourners.
The young men, with a sixth who is in custody, seized the embassy on April 30 taking .more than 20 people hostage. They said they were Arab dissidents from southern Iran and demanded the release of prisoners in Iran.
Troops stormed the embassy on May 5 rescuing 19 of the hostages.
