Mixed N.Z. market
Andrews and Beaven firmed 9c to 125 c o n a mixed, busy New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. The company reported that it had nearly doubled its profit and was raising its dividend. W attie reached a record 122 c, and other market leaders to improve included Cable Price Downer, Challenge, and N.Z. Forest' Products. However. Dominion Breweries, Feltex, and U.EJB. were easier. Investors took advantage of the lower John Bums price resulting from its bonus announcement, and the shares regained 15c to 175 c. Healing continued to improve, gaining 25c to 325 c, but Lane Walker Rudkin eased 1c to 115 c after a cautious annual report.
