14 left at factory
Greymouth reporter The factory of Westland Textiles, Ltd, at Hokitika, will close on September 30. The closing of the plant was announced in July. It then had a staff of 43.1
Yesterday it was down to 14, and after Tuesday, two persons will stay on to complete tidying and send machinery back to the company’s principals, Lane, Walker, Rudkin, Ltd, in Christchurch.
