Women to travel
Canterbury’s representative women cricketers will have to travel to the North Island for both the first and second XI national tournaments in the coming season. The first XI tournament,, played for the Hallybur-ton-Johnstone Shield, will be contested at Palmerston North. The competition will run from December 27 through until January 5. The second XI contest will be in Auckland from December 10 until December 14. Last season, the Canterbury third XI took part in the national- second XI tournament,.. for the first time, in Dunedin.
