Wattie at new peak
Share prices were mixed in moderate trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Andas rose 5c to 110 c after reporting a profit recovery for the full year, but Allied Farmers’ Co-operative continued to ease in spite of announcing a higher profit and dividend. Midland gained 30c to 200 c after news that the Government Life Commissioner had sold a big shareholding in the. company to an Auckland businessman for an undisclosed sum. Among the market leaders, Wattie reached a new peak for the year of 121 c, but N.Z. Forest Products fell a further 5c to 350 c.
