Kart ' test’ to Canty

Canterbury repeated its earlier defeats of Otago and Southland in a kart "test” match in Dunedin last Sunday.

The southern drivers had requested a challenge on a track never raced on before after their loss to Canterbury at Carrs Road Raceway last month. Dunedin was chosen as the venue and when the Canterbury team arrived it was greeted by a circuit laid out with hundreds of hay bales in the wharf and industrial area of the city. It was narrow and tight, but very fast with the karts getting up to 110 km/h along the straight. The test, raced over five heats, was dominated by Canterbury, which finished with 352 points to
