Income understated
NZPA Canberra The threatrical entrepreneur, Harry M. Miller, was said in the Australian Federal Parliament this week to have understated his income by $10,342 between 1968 and 1974. The Taxation Commissioner’s annual report included Mr Miller in a list of people required to pay back
taxes and extra tax after having understated their incomes.
Also on the list was a prominent jockey, Harry White, who was said to have understated $16,498.
The report said that 30 Victorian footballers had been required to pay a total of more than $137,000 in back taxes.
