PA Dunedin Glen Turner the former New Zealand test cricket captain and the world’s mosl prolific run-scorer during the last decade, is about tc enjoy his first summer holiday since 1968. Turner has barely had < break from an English or New' Zealand summer season since he began his association with Worcestershire in 1968. He missed the 1978 New Zealand season when he remained in England to work
in his benefit year with the county. Turner, aged 33, retumeo to Dunedin this week and he is relishing the thought of a break from cricket this sum“All I want to do this summer is play a bit of golf — I haven’t had a stick in my hand for almost six months — and do a bit of fishing,” said Turner. Turner also intends to spend a lot of time with his wife Suki, and children Natasha, aged 3, and his two-and-a-half-month?old son, Shaan.
