Youth dies after highspeed game of chase
PA Auckland A youth was killed and his brother injured when their motor-cycles collided after they played a highspeed game of chase with traffic officers in Mount Eden early yesterday. The dead youth was AARON HOWDEN, aged 19, of Mount Eden, who died in Auckland Hospital three hours after the collision. His brother, Matthew Howden, was admitted to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries. The brothers, each riding high-performance motor-cycles, had earlier been chased through Mount Eden streets by a traffic patrol err. The traffic officer pursued the motor-cyclists for almost 15 minutes before they managed to speed away from him. A few minutes later the traffic officer found both motor-cycles crashed into each other at an intersection and . the riders lying injured on the road.
