Meat-type sheep move
A council of meat-type, sheep breeders has been established. It was formed at a meeting of representatives of each of the breed societies, associations and committees of breeders of meat-type sheep. The members of the council of which the chairman is Mr R. A. Barton, of Massey University, are Messrs. J. A. Lampp, of Marton, representing the Suffolk breed; J. G. Law, Levin, the South Suffolk breed; R. A. Maxwell, Feilding, the Hampshire breed; N. K. Johnson. Feilding, Dorset Down; P. R. McGrath, Masterton, Dorset Horn and Poll Dorset; D. Buddo, Hastings, Ryeland; J. D. W. Hughes, Waverley, Southdown; P. M'. Rowe, Marton, South Dorset Down; and R. D. Patullos, Reporoa, South Hampshire.
