1980 S.C.F. appeal
PA Wellington Relieving the plight of refugees is the special target of the Save' the Children Fund’s annual appeal on September 27. According to the fund’s New Zealand president, Mrs W. D. Foster, most of its work is devoted to helping refugee children. As well as feeding,
clothing, and looking after the health of refugee mothers and children, attempts were made to reunite refugee children. New Zealand had raised more per head of population for the fund than any other country, she said. The Save the Children Fund raised more than $1 million in New Zealand
