A. ; Pyatt) has announced. ; Mr Boyd gained a bach- < elor of science degree from 1 the University of Canterbury 1 in 1962. He did his theo- i logical training at Christ- 1 church College, gaining a licentiate in theology in 1964. After ordination, he served J a curacy at St Peter’s, Ric- t carton, for two years, and I
then spent two years' at the Central College of the Anglican Communion at ; Canterbury, England. ! i Mr Boyd was appointed as a Royal Air Force chaplain at Bahrain in the 'Persian Gulf, from 1967 to 1971. On his return to New Zealand he served as vicar of Marchwiel, Timaru, from 1971 to 1975. He was then appointed vicar of Lyttelton. ;• He will succeed the Rev. J. Meadowcroft, who will go to St Matthew’s Church, Dunedin.
