Destructive spree
PA ' Wellington The police estimate damage to a Wellington house, furniture, and fittings about $20,000 after it was broken irito early on Saturday. The owner, Mrs Lorraine Taylor, and her two children, aged 15 and 11, were out at the time.
The intruder apparently set out on : a systematic smashing spree, breaking probably everything in sight. : ; '.
Mrs Taylor looked at her devastated house yesterday and said, “My life’s ruined — completely destroyed.” Insurance assessors are investigating the damage. A neighbour, Mrs Annette Bokany, raised the alarm after noticing an open .window ori Saturday
evening. She said Mrs Taylor, who was in a state of shock, would Stay with her in the meantime.
