Most sk! fields have recently received fresh snow and ski-ing conditions are better than last week, according to a report from the New Zealand Snow Centre yesterday. Conditions are: Mt Hutt scm new snow, windpacked powder. All facilities operating; chains required. Porter Heights.—l7cm new snow, runs groomed on T-bar slopes, wind-packed powder, at upper lifts; all facilities operat ing; chains required. E rowhen.—Plenty of good snow; all facilities operating. Mt Dobson.—Good snow cover and conditions, all facilities operating subject to weather. Tekapo.—locm'new snow Wednesday on average depth 50cm base; snow groomed; all facilities operating; chains required. Ohau.—Further fresh snow recently, giving good cover and ski-ing conditions; all facilities operating subject to weather; carry chains. _ . ■ ■ ; ? Cheeseman.—l4cm new powder Wednesday; all facilities operating; chains required. Broken River.—Bcm new snow; all facilities operating; chains required upper road. Amur! (last report Tuesday).— New snow Tuesday: spring snow conditions; all facilities operating. Mt Olympus (last report September 5).—25cm wind-packed snow on 100 cm base; all facilities operating. Craigiebum.—Fresh snow; all facilities operating subject to weather. Ternplo Basln.-Arthur's Pass.— 12cm new snow early in week; all facilities -operating.
