Bridge toll rethink bid
PA Auckland The Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) will be asked to reconsider the 25 per cent increase in the Auckland Harbour Bridge toll, announced on the eve of the East Coast Bays by-election. The Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority yesterday decided to ask Mr Muldoon to approve its original request, for an increase from 20c to 25c for private cars. Mr Muldoon approved the 25 per cent increase on all vehicle tolls, except private cars on. concession tickets.
