Organ back in month
Christchurch Cathedral should be filled with the sound, of organ music in a month’s time when the organ is fully restored. A/special service will be held on. October 15 to celebrate the organ’s return to which church organists, from throughout Christchurch will be invited. ’ f
The organ was dismantled last May so that staff from the South Island Organ Company could set about cleaning and restoring it. They are now working on the task of reassembling the organ’s 4500 pipes.
