Taxation system
Sir, — My sincere congratulations for your public spiritedness in publishing the feature article by Garry Arthur (September 3) exposing the iniquitous taxation system how being imposed upon the ordinary citizens of this country ?by .Mr. Mul’-> doon’s Government. The article: should be required reading for all those, and their number is’legion, who have qualms andfears as. to where the present New Zealand tax structure is leading our .country; -The. Labour Party' jvould be remiss lin its duty to the electorate if it failed to publicise the facts so ably presented by your writer;! and 1 even , the' Social Credit people should at least register a token protest although they are in the eraharassing position that their own Right-wing! philosophy is in accord with the present structure in many respects. — Yours, etc., ' . R. L. PLUCK. September 3, 1980.
