Crash halts traffic
Linwood Avenue was! blocked, off to traffic early this morning after a collision I between two cars at the'inter-; section of the avenue and Humphreys Drive. I ’ Jaws-of-life equipment was used to free a person who] ■was trapped in one of the
cars for 50 minutes. At least five people were taken to hospital after the ’accident, which occurred at 11.20 p.m. St John Ambulances were still at the scene at 1 a.m. One person was taken to hospital after a hit-and-run accident on Papanui Road, soon after midnight.
