•PA ■ " Wellington The press were asked to leave the room ' yesterday when representatives of the Rothmans Soccer League clubs met the tours and promotions committee of the New Zealand Football Association in Wellington. The chairman of the promotions committee, Mr Charlie Dempsey, asked, re-
porters to leave while the matter of their covering the proceedings was discussed. Within two minutes the secretary of the ’New Zealand Football Association Mr Stewart Goodman, came out to say they would not be readmitted.The decision took such a short time that it looked as if the whole thing had been pre-planned. ■
