The north-westerly winds recently have brought fresh snow to most fields according to a report supplied by the New Zealand Snow Centre yesterday. Field reports are; Mount Hutt: scm new. windpacked powder on packed base; all facilities operating; carry chains. ; - ’ ■' • -
Porter Heights: Last snow Tuesday about Bcm; wind-packed powder on good base; all facilities operating; carry chains. Erewhon: Fresh snow’; good ski-ing conditions; all facilities operating. Mount Dobson: scm new snow on deep base; all facilities operating; chains required. Tekapo: scm new snow on packed base; good ski-ing; all facilities operating; chains required. ' ■ • Ohau: Last fall Wednesday, 15 cm; groomed powder at average depth 85cm; ideal ski-ing; all facilities operating; chains required. Mt Cook region: 1,5 m new snow on Tasman Glacier; glacier
and heliski operating in deep Sowder subject on weather; cokings essential. Treble Cone: Fresh snow 20cm on slower slopes on average base over Im; good ski-ing; all facilities operating; chains essential.
