P.M. praise for young musicians

PA Wellington The Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) places a high store upon musical accomplishment by the young people of today. He told the opening of the world accordion championships at Auckland, that music was a cultural form which knew no barriers.

“I place high store upon musical accomplishment by young people today, faced .as they are with forms of entertainment which place no demands on their skills, or their imagination, or present any sort of challenge or means of cultural enjovment or improvement,” ■Mr Muldoon said.
