Bar at Council chambers
Sir, — With regard to the bar that is; going to,;.be installed in the new council’ chambers, I for brie would like ?to know if the ratepayers are going to foot the bill for it. Because if they are they should be able to use its facilities the same as the councillors, arid members, of the council staff.-— Yours, etc • h ■ ■T ■ KEITH BROWN. . August 21, ;1980. [Mr J. H. Gray, General Manager and ’Town Clerk, replies: “The . staff social club is finding the.cost of the beer facilities from its own funds. If it is granted a genera! ancillary licence, this would not authorise liquor being- served to other than members of the club.”]
