More plot accusations
NZPA-Reuter Teheran Sir John Graham, the former British Ambassador in Teheran, gave dynamite and fuses to coup conspirators, Iran’s Deputy Information Minister (Mr. Ali Behzadnia) has alleged. ? Mr Behzadnia told; the official i Pars news agency that ’he. had documents which showed this, and also that proved the American Central Intelligence Agency had financed- the plot with SUSSOO million in cash.
A British Anglican priest, the Rev. Paul Hunt, had acknowledged receipt of both the explosives and the money in a letter to a Pentagon officer named McConnell, the Deputy Minister said.
The British Embassy, which has dismissed the accusations as based on forgeries, said yesterday it was still being denied consular access to the Mr' Hunt' and other arrested Anglicans and to tony Allaway, the detained correspondent of “The Times’’ newspaper.; y .
