Mr Hogan, a bachelor of commerce, is a member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. He gained a comprehensive experience of the liquor industry during 16 years with Lion Breweries, Ltd. He resigned late in 1979 from Lion Breweries where he held a senior position at the head office. Subsequently, he was area manager for General Foods Corporation (New Zealand), Ltd, for the Wellington province.
