Canty sevens teams
Canterbury will enter two teams in the regional final of the inter-provincial sevens rugby tournament at the Ashburton Showgrounds oh Sunday, but the teams have yet to be selected and the timing of the event was called “absurd” by the senior coach (Mr Gerald Wilson) last evening Canterbury has a national championship match against South Canterbury on Saturday and another against Bay of Plenty next Wednesday. Mr Wilson said that he was far from happy at having to select two teams for the tournament but had talked to ths players and was confident Canterbury would field two teams.
