N.Z. racing driver hurt
The New Zealand Formula Pacific motor racing champion Dave McMillan is in hospital recovering from injuries he suffered in a SuperVee Championship race at Minneapolis, Minnesota, last Saturday. McMillan was lying a comfortable fourth in the race when the car ahead spun, forcing him off the track and into a heavy wooden safety barrier. One section struck the New Zealander on the head, rendering him unconscious, but medical examination revealed bruising and swelling to the head were the only injuries suffered.
