Veteran owner dies
PA Tauranga Mr Nicholas Grafas died after, an accident at Tauranga yesterday.. - Mr Grafas, aged 87, who was well known in racing Circles; died in an ambulance on: his way to the Tauranga Hospital after his vehicle, which was towing a horse float, collided with a wood chip freighter. A resident of Tauranga since the 19205, Mr Grafas had bred and raced gallopers and junipers for many, years.
His most successful horses were King Minos and Gretan — each winners of the New Zealand Grand National Hurdles in the ,19605.
