Television cameras at concert
Sir,—l deplore P. Croft’s remarks (August 21) about the television camera crew’s attire, and attitude, during the concert at the Town Hall. Having; seen these young people operating their cameras during the making of the early series of “Open Pulpit” in St Barnabas’s Church, Fendalton, I have the greatest admiration for them, in the way they carry out their assignments with courtesy and efficiency. Regarding the sounds .issuing from the headsets, I think the television manager has explained that to everyone’s satisfaction. The clothes worn by the camera . crew’s should not come into the argument. — Yours,, etc., (Mrs) ETHEL SOTHERAN. August 22, 1980.
