Members concert cancelled
The Christchurch and Wellington concerts of a British rock band, The Members, have been cancelled. The Christchurch concert was to be held bn August 20 in the Town Hall, but fewer than 100 tickets have been sold in two weeks. . ; -
After at least 12 tours by major artists in the : first seven months of 1980, the pockets of local rock fans have obviously taken a beating. Holders of tickets for the cancelled concert will be refunded at the Town Hail booking office. • The next test of fans’ finances will be on Saturday August 30, when the British new wave band,. Magazine, is booked to appear in the Christchurch Town HalL
