PA . Wellington When Parliament resumed yesterday members stood in silence as a mark of respect for Mr Bertie Victor Cooksley, the member for Wairarapa from 1949 to 1963, who died on Friday. Reports were tabled from the National Provident Fund Board, the Export-Import Corporation, the Medical Research Council, and the Ombudsman.
Members gave eight notices of motions and Ministers answered 20 questions. The Government introduced four bills: the Wool Testing Authority Amendment Bill, the Higher Salaries Commission

The Budget debate continued until the House rose at 10.30 p.m.
