Boy’s spine broken
One of two boys .injured when . a car plunged 100 metres down a cliff off Evans Pass Road last Thursday has a fractured spine, Burwood Hospital authorities confirmed yesterday. Bryce Douglas, aged eight, of St Ives Street, Bishopdale, is reported to be ip a comfortable condition and improving slightly under special care in the hospital’s spinal unit. His brother, Timothy Douglas, aged six, is in a comfortable condition in Christchurch Hospital with .leg injuries. The mother of the boys, Mrs Gail Douglas, aged 37, has been discharged from Christchurch Hospital. i
