The audited group . net profit of Transport North Canterbury Holdings, Ltd, rose 10.9 i per cent to $432,314 in the year to March 31. However, the profit before tax fell 10.2 per cent, from $476,009 to $427,517. TTie directors recommend ah unchanged final dividend of 9c a share (9 per cent) making a Steady 14 per cent for the year. Of the final dividend 3c a share will be tax-free. It will be paid on September 5, ex August 20. The annual meeting will be held on September 5. Because he had reached the age of retirement the chairman (Mr A. C. Fraser) will retire from the directorate at the annual meeting.
