Boy suffers stroke
PA Wellington A schoolboy was in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital’s intensive care unit yesterday after suffering a brain haemorrhage during a rugby match on Saturday. Richard Barraclough, aged 18, was playing for this school, St Patrick’s College,
Silverstream, in a match at Porirua College when he cob lapsed unconscious about 2.30 p.m. A 15-year-old Plimmerton boy was taken to Wellington Hospital after suffering neck injuries and concussion in a rugby match at Pareniata Domain on Saturday afternoon. He was treated and discharged.
