Glandovey doubtful starter
Glandovey (above) one of three ’chasers the Awapuni trainer, Eric Temperton, paid up with for the Homeby Steeplechase at Riccarton on Saturday, is on the doubtful list at present. “He has had a bit of ligament trouble since competing in the Hawke’s Bay Steeples and, although
he pulled up sound after the Manawatu Hunt Cup last Saturday, 1 won’t make a decision on whether lie will go south with the others until after he gallops tomorrow,” Temperton said last evening. Even if Glandovey drops out of the Christchurch Hunt Club’s feature race Temperton will still have two worthy representa-
fives, Guess Who and No Retreat, to represent his stable. The Temperton team will also include Rabalam, which is to contest the Trial Hurdles and the Grand National Hurdles at the Grand National meeting. They will leave for Riccarton tomorrow morning.
