TWO CHANGES IN LEADERSHIP
There have been two changes in the leadership of provinces of . Federated Farmers in Canterbury as a-result of the recent animal conferences. . Mr A. L. Mulholland, of Darfield, is the new president in North Canterbury. A former chairman of the Dominion agriculture section and also the present chairman of. the, wheatgrowers* sub-section of. the federation, he ..follows in the. footsteps of his- father, the late . Sir Mulholland, who ' also headed the provincial organisation in the days. of the old
Fanners’ Union. In South Canterbury the new president is Mr M. O. Westaway. He is a ; mixed farmer at Pleasant Point with 200 ha oh i which stock are of major importance. He has. moved up through . the posts of. junior and senior vicepresident of the province, to his present position! He has also served as chair-, man of the Pleasant Point branch.' . 7. : .
