Weather forecast

Sir, — On a number of occasions recently, the staff at 3YA have failed to connect with the Wellington Weather Office for the 12.33 p.m. weather forecast on time. This forecast is of vital importance to a great number of people and before the new format “Community Comment” no problems were encountered. If the staff at the Weather Office are to fulfil their objectives, the cooperation of the local 3YA radio station staff would be appreciated. — Yours, etc., GRAHAM MARR Mount Hutt. July 7, 1980. [Mr E. G. Rowell, District Manager, Radio New Zealand, replies: “We believe the recent presentation problem which has troubled 3YA at 12.33 p.m. has now been overcome and the- weather forecast at this time should be reliably broadcast in future.”] / .
