PA Wellington Th? Attorney-General (Mr McLay), announced when Parliament sat at 2.30 p.m. yesterday that Mr J. R. Mills had resigned as the one-man Commission of Inquiry into an application for a loan from the Marginal Lands’Board by Mr and Mrs J. M. Fitzgerald. A petition by Beverley Ann Sutherland and 3205 others praying for the price of milk to be reduced at Turangi was presented. Reports of the Armed Forces Canteen Council, the Ministry of Defence, arid the Maori Education Foundation were tabled. Members tabled four notices of motion. Ministers answered 18 questions. ? The Budget debate continued until the dinner adjournment r ' ■ The Government introduced the Evidence ■Ameridment (No. 2) Bill, which was referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. The Budget debate was resumed shortly before 10 p.m. and continued until the House adjourned at 10 30 p.m.
