Jacob Warren, aged four, a patient at Christchurch Hospital, tries his hand as a stationmaster, shunting two toy trains which were among the toys and games given to the hospital by the Bryndwr Round Table yesterday. The service organisation began collecting and buying the toys nine months ago after hearing about toy thefts from the hospital. A quick touch-up job was all that was needed to restore many of the unwanted toys, while others were made by local pensioners.
