Moscow Olympics
Sir, — Messrs Moore and Creel must be dreaming when giving support to socialism, which is the first step towards communism. Soviet citizens are bearing the brunt of State intervention at the Olympic Games. Police everywhere and documents to go anywhere, even to have a friend visit your house. Whether acknowledged or not, this is a perfect example of politics interfering with sport. So-viet-citizens outside Moscow are not allowed into Moscow. Because of the lack of private enterprise, there are huge shortages of goods and services in Russia. .Onl* limited Government and more individual responsibility will give us the freedom we all want. — Yours, etc., . . PETER JOHNSON. July 14, 1980.
